Fall is always a bittersweet season. While we say goodbye to those cute summer dresses, trips to the beach, and evening BBQ’s, we welcome new styles, festive holidays, and fun outdoor activities like football games and pumpkin picking. Fall also kick’s off the highly anticipated holiday season. With Halloween and Thanksgiving just around the corner, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share some of my favorite fall cocktail recipes to use at your next gathering.
Hot Apple Cider:
With the change of the seasons comes cooler weather. This cocktail, which incorporates hot apple cider and Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, will certainly keep you warm on those cooler evenings.
Directions: Add hot apple cider and Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum to a glass rimmed with sugar and cinnamon.
Pumpkin Spice Martini:
Personally I count down the days until Pumpkin Spiced Latte’s are offered at my local coffee shop. So I thought it was only fitting to include a Pumpkin Spiced Martini in my list of favorite fall cocktails.
1 1/2 ounces Absolute Vanilla flavored vodka
1 1/2 ounces Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur
1 1/2 ounces Hiram Walker pumpkin flavored liqueur
1 cup ice cubes
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
Directions: Pour the vanilla flavored vodka, Irish cream liqueur, and pumpkin flavored liqueur into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover, and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into a chilled martini glass, and garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg to serve.
Caramel Apple Martini:
Apple picking is one of my favorite fall activities. When I was younger I loved making caramel candy apples. Now, I thoroughly enjoy the adult version!
Directions: In a martini shaker filled with ice combine alcohol, shake to combine. Garnish the rim of the glass with caramel and crushed almonds. Pour into a martini glass and serve.

Candy Corn Cocktail:
Candy is for kids! Here is a fun spin on a favorite fall treat made just for adults.
2 ounces SKYY Infusions Pineapple
1 1/2 ounces orange sherbet, softened
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 ounce milk
1 ounce simple syrup
2 cups ice
Directions: Combine SKYY Infusions Pineapple and pineapple juice in cocktail shaker with ice. Strain over fresh ice into a clear collins glass.
Combine softened orange sherbet and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain, and pour over bar spoon to layer in the rocks glass.
Combine simple syrup and milk in cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Layer milk mixture on top of sorbet mixture.
Maple Vodka and Espresso Dessert Cocktail:
Maple isn’t just used for breakfast. Warm up on an autumn night with this maple infused concoction.
Directions: Combine all ingredients over ice, shake and strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg. Can also be served hot.
